Description: Mask from the Mesoamerican classical period (300 - 550 AD), similar to other masks found in Teotihuacan. It was discovered in 1921 by archaeologist Porfirio Aguirre in Malinaltepec, Guerrero, Mexico. Stone inlaid with turquoise, Amazonite, obsidian and shells; necklace of 55 pearls and an earring - 21.6 x 20.7 x 7.9 cm. - National Museum of Anthropology, Mexico City -
