Description: The palaver between Bredewa, the King of Fetu, and the Swedish commissioner Neumann in or near Degou (the contemporary Cape Coast in Ghana) in 1648. The Swedish are invited by the king to erect a "stony house" for the purpose of trade. A suitable contract was closed following that on whose basis one year later with the construction of the Fort Carolusburg (Karlsborg, the later Cape Coast Castle) was begun. original: xylography or copper engraving or copper etching (?)
