Description: The dramatic and holy Batu Caves are a major Hindu pilgrim site outside India and features the tallest statue of Lord Murugan, seen out front. There are 272 steps to climb to the caves. It might seem a little odd that I flew all the way to Malaysia from Tamil Nadu, India and went to see a Tamil Hindu temple there, and it is true I can see 100 very similar temples without leaving Chennai, but the caves were very interesting and worth the visit.
