Description: Daniel Webster Jones (1830-1915) – Jones was commissioned by Brigham Yong to start a Mormon settlement in the Salt River Valley of Arizona. The settlement was originally called Jonesville and later renamed Lehi. Lehi was eventually incorporated into Mesa. Jones is buried in Block 24, Lot 4, Grave 5 in the City of Mesa Cemetery in Mesa, Arizona.
