Description: The Millau Viaduct is a cable-stayed bridge that spans the valley of the River Tarn near Millau in southern France. It's the tallest bridge in the world, with one mast's summit at 343.0 metres (1,125.3 ft) above the base of the structure. It was built to alleviate severe traffic congestion in the valley especially when holidaymakers travel to and from holiday resorts on the Mediterranean coast. You can get a sense of the scale by zooming in and looking for vehicles on the bridge. There's a red lorry near the second tower from this end.
