Description: San Francisco, USA, PCC-type streetcar #1053 at 17th and Catro in 1999, on the F-Market heritage streetcar line (which opened in 1995). Car 1053's current paint scheme is in tribute to the Brooklyn (New York) streetcar system, but this car actually spent its entire original service career in Philadelphia, and was built in 1948 for the Philadelphia Transportation Company. It was acquired (from SEPTA in Philadelphia) by San Francisco Muni in 1992 and refurbished and repainted for eventual use on the F-Market heritage streetcar line.
