Description: Two Dassault Mystère IV A of the French Armee de l'Air at Bitburg Air Base, Rhineland-Palatinate (Germany), in the early 1960s. The aircraft belonged to the Patrouille de France, which became an official aerobatics team only in 1964, flying the Fouga Magister. Note how near the spectators could get in comparison to the 21st Century, during which safety standards have prohibited the close proximity of the public to air displays.
