Description: Phitos-Amphora; A-Side: Hercales and Deaneira in a chariot carried by winged horses, nearby Deaneiras parents Oineus and Althaia, on the neck: Hermes, Artemis and 2 horses, under the handles: apotropaic eyes; depends to the "Melian Amphoras", but comes from a parian Workshop; made about late 7th/early 6th century B.C.; found at Aptera, Crete; today in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens (354).
