Description: A NEMA 5-20 RA 20 ampere 120 volt tamper resistant ground-fault circuit interrupter Leviton Decora® duplex receptacle, installed over a kitchen counter. Local electrical code requires GFCI within 1 metre of a kitchen sink, and requires tamper-resistant receptacles in residential occupancies. The T-slots for the neutral blade allow either 15 ampere or 20 ampere plugs to be used, though most household devices only have a 15 ampere parallel-blade plug. The green pilot light indicates the outlet is active. The test button and reset button allow the ground fault function to be tested by the resident and reset as required.
