Description: News of Ningshu Region in Xikang Province, China in October 1940 reported by the journal Xin Ningyuan Yuekang (literally, New Ningyuan Monthly) published in Xichang, Xikang. It contains the news that Chinese mathematician Zeng Jiongzhi (name also spelt as Chiungtze C. Tsen) died on 1st October 1940. Modern biographies of Zeng incorrectly state that he died in November 1940. According to the previous issue of the journal published on 25th October, Zeng was one of the invited writers for the journal, but he died before he could provide any article.
