Description: Diagram of British No. 17 D.A. Percussion Fuze Mk III, with cap, 1914. Fits G.S. 1 inch fuze socket. Body is made of a metal resembling gunmetal. Magazine contains about 70 grans F.G. powder. Armed by shell rotation. Used with Lyddite shells for the following guns, Land service : BL 2.75 inch mountain gun BL 60 pounder gun BLC 6 inch siege gun QF 4.7 inch gun (travelling carriage) QF 4.5 inch howitzer BL 5 inch howitzer BL 6 inch 30 cwt howitzer
