For sizes of corresponding eggs in mm see original legend at the bottom of the figure. Translation: "In Fig. 3, the nucleoli below the nuclear membrane start to wander in the center. From the now well visible chromatic fibers, a piece that resembles a bottle brush is magnified in neighboring Fig. 5. (Note: In today's terminology this is a Lampbrush chromosome.) Fig 6.: Collection of nucleoli in the center of the nucleus in a heap."
