Description: The Olympia Theatre at 3355 E. 55th Street in Cleveland, Ohio, in the United States. The building is a contributing property to the Broadway Avenue Historic District, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. The mixed-use building was constructed in 1911-1912 and designed by architect George Allen Grieble. It featured a 2,000-seat theater in the rear, eight retail shops on the ground floor, and 30 apartments on the second and third floors. It closed in 1981. It was renovated in 1987, although the theater itself was razed to make room for parking.
