Description: TUDOR HALL PLANTATION BUILT IN 1812 AND ENLARGED IN 1850. HOME OF THE BOISSEAU FAMILY. IT WAS THE WARTIME HEADQUARTERS OF CONFEDERATE GENERAL SAMUEL MCGOWAN. THIS HOUSE STANDS RIGHT ON THE SITE WHERE GRANT MADE HIS BREAKTROUGH FORCING THE EVACUATION OF RICHMOND. IT IS MAINTAINED BY THE PAMPLIN HISTORICAL PARK ALONG WITH THEIR NEARBY MUSEUM DEDICATED TO THE BREAKTHROUGH.
