Description: Picture of the Paramount Film Exchange located at 1727 Boulevard of the Allies in the Bluff neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on August 7, 2010. The building was built in 1926, architects R. E. Hall Co. of New York City. A film exchange was a place where lots of film reels were kept, and where agencies and theater owners rented or traded motion pictures with each other. The Paramount Film Exchange, which belonged to Paramount Pictures, was one of several film exchange buildings in the area, and it is the last mostly intact remnant of Pittsburgh's old "Film Row".[1] The door on the front of the building is elaborately decorated and still features the Paramount Pictures logo right above it. The building is on the List of City of Pittsburgh historic designations.
