Description: Penarth Public Library. Located on the corner of Stanwell Road and Rectory Road, this grand Edwardian building is Penarth public library. It was built at the start of the 20th century with money donated by Scottish-American businessman and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. More than 2,500 Carnegie libraries were built worldwide, including about 660 in the UK. The year inscribed above the north entrance is 1904.
