Description: Film negative showing a distant view of the Pennsylvania State Capitol building at the end of a pathway in a park in Harrisburg. In the left, a building with two towers stands adjacent to a building with a spire. In the center stands the Dauphin County Veteran's Memorial, a tall obelisk. The Capitol is adorned with pillars and a dome. The State Capitol building was designed in 1902 by Joseph Miller Huston. Known as Huston Capitol, it was the third state capitol building to be built in Harrisburg. The first, Hills Capitol, was razed by fire in 1897 and the second, Cobb Capitol, was discontinued in 1899 due to lack of funds. The Dauphin County Veteran's Memorial was designed by Edward Hudson Worrall to honor local soldiers who died during the Civil War. Construction began in 1867, and was completed in 1876 after financial setbacks. The monument was moved in 1959-1960 to Third and Division Streets, away from the Capitol building.
