Madame, I pray you not to inconvenience yourself by sleeping with me [t]onight for it is no longer time to deceive me. [T]he bed has been too narrow after two weeks of separation from you. [T]oday afternoon. Your very unfortunate husband who[m] you never condescend [to call by] this name[.] (sic) Peter. (cf. R. E.
