Description: The historic Lewis Williams Douglas House was built 1923 and located at 815 E. Orangewood Ave. in Phoenix, Az. The house is historically significant for its association with Douglas, a nationally prominent Arizona politician and United States Congressman whose public career extended from 1922 through the years following World War II, During this period, Douglas served his home state and the nation in a number of elected and appointed positions of leadership. The house is listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1985 ref. 85000188.
