Description: Rolled pie (or rolled burek) is traditionally a meal in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. It is made of thin pie crusts made from dough, in which the filling are cheese, mushrooms, meat etc. (in a salty variant) or different fruit (in a sweet variant). In Central Serbia, a tiny variant is made before Christmas. For that occasion rice and nuts are used as pie filling. It can also be used as salty and sweet, but according to how the filling is prepared. The rolled pie serves as an appetizer or "meze" at various celebrations, but often also as a daily dish.
