Description: The Point San Luis, CA lighthouse and light station lightstation. Lighthouse keeper Paul Oconnor who volunteers at this lighthouse said "What is great about this photo is you can see all the buildings, except for the privy that we are restoring behind the duplex (which is the only non original building, besides Marlin's house). The structures from left to right are: Oil House (where flammables were stored), Head Lighthouse Keepers Quarters and Lighthouse, Coal House (still occupied by the Coast Guard and Homeland Security), Fog Signal Building (sometimes called Horn house or Whistle House) and the Coast Guard Duplex (so dubbed because the original Assist Lighthouse Keepers Duplex was bulldozed in the ocean in the early 60's to build this more modern building for the CG personnel)." This is an image of a place or building that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States of America. Its reference number is 91001093.
