Description: Illustration of President Street Station, Baltimore, Maryland, in 1869. View looking south. The passenger depot was built by the Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Railroad (PW&B) in 1850. Seen to the left, behind the headhouse, is the 208 ft long, barrel-vaulted train shed. To the right is the freight station, built in 1852. Seen in front of the station, on President Street, is a track used to transfer passengers (by horse-drawn cars) to the Camden Station of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. This illustration is an inset to the main, large scale perspective map. Contrast adjusted for legibility.
