Description: Professor Bruce Simonds, a former dean of the Yale School of Music plays a 1784 Christian Gotthelf Hoffman clavichord of the Belle Skinner collection, catalogued as Clavichord #10 before its donation to Yale in 1959, and for which a duplicate exists in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. This marked the first time the Skinner collection was recorded on a record for the public.
