Description: Puke Ariki, the museum and library in New Plymouth, New Zealand. The wooden pou or pole was carved by the Rangimarie Arts and Crafts Centre for the New Plymouth Sesquicentennial in 2001. Called Tukotahi/Standing Together, it depicts the first meeting of Māori (in a korowai or cloak) welcoming a Pākehā settler (in a swallow-tailed morning coat).
