Description: The Quantel Paintbox (launched in 1981) was one of the first commercially produced electronic paint systems intended for use by broadcast designers, rather than engineers. It was widely adopted for broadcast news graphics creation and commercial production because of its ease of use and ability to interface with a variety of video sources.
