Description: Range of estimated temperature profiles of the Moon's interior. Based on the measurements by the Apollo 15 and 17 missions (Langseth et al, 1976). For the first few meters, the estimates of the average temperature over several Earth's months are shown. Below that, the diurnal and seasonal temperature variations are negligible. The range indicates possible values, not their variation over time. Reference:
