Description: Pods of rat-tail radish, July 2020. Two colours, all green or tinged with red. A variety of radish (Raphanus sativus var caudatus) selected for the large edible pods. These have a mild radish flavour and are juicy and crunchy. The plants grow to 1 m (1 yard) high and edible pods form some time (c. month) after flowering. Shows the pink flowers, with structure typical of cabbage family (Brassicaceae)
