Description: Rawlins Park located at 18th and E Streets, NW in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The park was founded in 1873 and named in honor of General John Aaron Rawlins. His statue was sculpted by Joseph A. Bailey and dedicated in 1874. It was removed to Market Square in 1886, but when Center Market was demolished in 1931 the statue was returned to the park.
