Description: Grave of actor Ray Bolger and his wife Gwendolyn at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, California (mausoleum, block 35, crypt F2). Raymond Wallace "Ray" Bolger was born January 10, 1904 in Boston, Massachusetts. His most prominent film role was as the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz (1939). Gwendolyn Rickard was born in 1909, and married Bolger in 1929. They had no children. Ray Bolger died of bladder cancer on January 15, 1987 in Los Angeles, California at age 83. Gwendolyn died in 1997 and was interred with her husband.
