Description: The last remaining blast furnace at Reşiţa, Romania. There where two soviet style blast furnaces sharing the same casthouse. The furnaces had 850 cubic meter capacity. They were built between 1958 and 1962 and decomissioned in 1991. The number 1 blast furnace was demolished between 2001-2002 and the number 2 blast furnace was preserved and declared as a historical monument in 2003.
