Description: 2=The eastern rose window in the choir of Laon Cathedral. This window incorporates the following: Glory to the Virgin, Rose of the Church and of the Apocalypse (Revelations). The window dates from the first part of the 13th century, probably from before 1215. Badly damaged when the powder magazine of nearby Laon Fortress was blown up during the Franco-Prussian war of 1870, it was restored afresh in 1989.
