Description: Tesseropora rosea (Rosy barnacle) Barnacles are crustaceans - like shrimps and crabs - but they don't move about once settled. They disperse as larvae then attach to something solid for their adult lives. They are protected by hard trap-doors when the tide is out. Once immersed, the doors open and their feeding arms come out. Shark Point
