Description: Royal Air Force- Italy, the Balkans and South-east Europe, 1942-1945. Three RAF ground crew, Corporal W Faulds, Leading Aircraftman G Gregory and Leading Aircraftman L Mansfield, load packets of newspapers into a Vickers Wellington GR Mark XIII, MF263, of No. 221 Squadron RAF at Kalamaki/Hassani, Greece, for dropping to villages in Macedonia cut off by the winter snows and destroyed communications. Note the elaborate aerial array of the ASV Mark II anti-submarine radar carried on this aircraft.
