Description: The SS Valley Camp was a lake freighter on the Great Lakes of the United States and Canada for 50 years. In this image the funnel shows the colors of the Republic Steel Corporation, which owned Valley Camp from 1959 to its retirement in 1967. Today it is beached as a museum ship in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, and is listed on the US National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). NRHP reference number 72000606
