Description: Samphire Hoe. Looking down on Samphire Hoe, which is all on reclaimed land using spoil from construction of the Channel Tunnel. The building complex is the ventilation plant for the tunnel, the west end is being landscaped and is becoming a diverse area for wildlife. (was named Samphire Hoe as a result of what to call the area competition - Eurotunnel just called it Shakespeare Cliff work area, after the cliffs that dominate the north edge.)
