The diner, incorporating several railway cars, operated for over 50 years (see Gregory Roberts The end of the line for Andy's Diner in Seattle, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, January 22, 2008). The railway car shown here was used by Franklin Roosevelt in his 1944 re-election campaign.
