Image: Shaver battery
Description: Insides of unbranded rotary shaver showing the 600mAH Ni-Cd battery used (Red) - this is in standard AA format albeit without the "nipple" at the positive end - and is soldered into place. User replacement of such a battery would probably void the warranty. The yellow box to the right is a transformer to convert 230Vac mains current into a sutable lower voltage. Tucked away underneath the nearer motor wire is a rectifier diode to convert this low-voltage ac to dc for charging the 1.2V battery.
