Description: Shay No. 2 gear driven steam engine at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, east of Strasburg, PA. Built by Lima Locomotive and Machine Co, Lima, OH in December 1906, retired c. 1964, Class 65-3 (65 ton-3 truck) wighing 137,000 lbx, length 52 ft. 6 inches, tractive effort 29,800 lbs, Fuel capacity 2.5 cords of wood or 5 tons of coal, water 3,000 gallons, boiler pressure 200 psi. 77 engines of this type were built. Though the museum calls this the Leetonia No. 1, it was actually owned by the Enterprise Lumber Company of Sims, LA; Cherry River Boom and Lumber Co. in WV; Beech Mountain Railroad and Cook-Natwick Co, ending its career in 1964 as the Ely-Thomas Lumber Company No. 2 (in West Virginia)
