Description: "Chinese priests and monks", drawn by the Dutch visitors in 1655-1658. According to Lach & Kley (1993), the leftmost sitting person wears the headgear of a Mongol Lama; the sitting person in the middle, with a big hat, holds a muyu ("wooden fish"). The standing man on the right, with beads, is a Buddhist priest. The other two standing people may be Buddhist monks.
