Description: Site of Elmley Castle All that remains of Elmley Castle are earthworks, the castle was built in the late 11th century by Robert le Despenser but by the late 15th century it had been demolished and the stone carted off for other building projects such as Pershore Bridge. Here it is viewed from the Wychavon Way to the south.
