Description: The sculpture is a resin cast and the dog may be a Belgian police dog as the creature bears a strong similarity to one in the Warren Memorial Fountain in Westbrook Maine. A contemporary account named the breed in that work. Interestingly, there also is a similar dog in the Kittery Maine Paeff sculpture The Sacrifices of War.
