Description: Special Observer Badge The Latin motto of which is 'Lateo' meaning, 'I lay hidden'. This badge is achieved after completing the gruelling 18 week, 'Patrols' course. One of the toughest courses in the British Army, the course is run by instructors from 22 Regiment SAS. Only this badge worn on the upper left sleeve identifies these men.
