Description: Terra-cotta plaque “Spirit of Transportation” by Karl Bitter (1867–1915). This plaque is located on the west wall of the waiting area of 30th Street Station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It depicts the evolution of transportation as a triumphal procession. “Transportation” herself is riding in a chariot in the middle. The plaque was originally installed at Broad Street Station and was moved to the present location in 1933.
