Description: The grave of en:Spyridon Marinatos (1901-1971) inside the Archaeological area of Akrotiri, Santorini. Spyridon Marinatos was the archaeologist who discovered the prehistoric settlement. Marinatos died in a fall inside the excavation area, his grave originally was inside the excavation and got moved for the 2009-2011 rebuilding of the excavation's roofing.
