Description: St. Mary Magdalene, Flaunden This is the first church designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott, most famous for his design of St. Pancras station. Erected in 1838, it was a new church replacing one in the older part of the village closer to the River Chess. I think it looks very attractive because of its simple brick and flint construction .
