Description: Church of the Saviour was built on the place where emperor Alexander II was mortally wounded on March 1 1881. It was originally a chapel designed by architect N. Benois, later a temple of architect A. Parland was erected. The walls are covered with marble and glazed brick. The interior is decorated with Italian multi-colored marble and colored ornamental stones.
