Image: St Ricarius Aberford West Yorks (107a)
Description: St Ricarius Church, Aberford, West Yorkshire, England. Originally a medieval church, of which only the tower remains. The nave was mostly rebuilt in 1862 to a design by Anthony Salvin, but it includes an 1830 east wall. The stone carving on the building is by Mawer and Ingle, who also carved the pulpit. Showing St Ricarius window of 1862, by Wailes, in a medieval window frame from the previous building. This window shows "St Richard, a king of the West Saxons, AD 720, in whose name it is supposed this church is dediicated."
