Caption: Additions, including a tower and a chiming clock, are being made to the West End School of Arts. The Brisbane City Council, which has provided funds for the work, agreed to a request from the Kurilpa War Memorial Committee that provision should be made for a tower to house a clock with Westminster chimes, as a soldiers' memorial. The committee will hand the clock over to the council free of debt.
