Description: Dining room interior Wolverton, home of the Tunbridge family, Townsville, ca. 1895. View of the dining alcove adjacent to the parlour at Wolverton. The room is decorated with various wallpapers around the archway and a decorative border strip with a stylised flower design above the picture rail. An upright piano with candlesticks on either side is on the left of the room. The dining room has wooden floors, two windows with fabric blinds and valances in a floral print. The valance and edges of the window blinds are decorated with tassels, as is the bottom of the table cloth. An unidentified gentleman with a dinner jacket and bow tie is seated at one end of the table. The table is laid with a cut crystal? decanters. Dining room chairs are bentwood chairs with cane insets and a pair of wicker armchairs. In the centre of the room is a fur floor rug.
