Description: Passenger train crossing Swanson's Bridge in the Toowoomba Range, ca. 1912. The original bridge was an iron girder designed in England and supplied by Sir Charles Fox which was strengthened in 1885 and replaced by this new structure in 1900. The measurement for the bridge is 96 metres - 61 chains. The concrete surfaced masonry consists of 30’ arches, the centre one being 50’ high. (Description supplied with photograph.).
